*Do you know what NAT is?

NAT, or Network Address Translation, is a technology used by routers and firewalls to convert private IP addresses into public IP addresses and back again. It allows devices inside a home or business network to communicate with the Internet without needing a separate public IPv4 address for every device.
When your laptop opens a website, the router replaces its private address with the network’s public IP address. It then records the connection in a NAT table. When the website responds, the router checks this table and forwards the data to the correct device.
NAT provides several important benefits:
Most home routers use Port Address Translation, or PAT. PAT identifies different connections through port numbers, allowing phones, computers, TVs, and other devices to access the Internet simultaneously through one public address.
